The 2013 Jaguar XF is one of those cars that promised a perfect blend of British luxury and modern performance — sharp design, a rising rotary shifter, and engineering meant to compete with the best in its class. On paper, it’s everything you’d want in a used luxury sedan.
But this XF came with a story the seller didn’t tell.
What looked like a clean, well‑maintained car on the surface turned out to be hiding a long list of problems. Reused brake sensors meant to silence warnings. Hacked wiring repairs tucked under trim. Critical systems ignored until they failed quietly. The previous owner didn’t just skip maintenance — they let the car fall into disrepair, then cleaned it up for a fast, dishonest sale.
This series is where we uncover all of it.
Episode by episode, we’re documenting the real condition of this Jaguar XF, exposing every hidden fault, undoing every shortcut repair, and restoring the car the way it should have been cared for from the start. Diagnostics, electrical investigation, module configuration, mechanical restoration — it’s all here.
This isn’t just a repair. It’s an investigation.
And it starts now.

The minute we took the vehicle ownership the issues started when we tried to move the car. No wonder he parked the vehicle in a way which made it really hard to get into, basicly gave him time to leave before we started the car up and saw the errors he had cleared. Anyways, here is a list of what we found wrong so far.
1. Soon as you start the car you get a warning that Eco Mode is not available.
2. Reverse camera and parking sensors not functioning contact your dealership.
3. Brake Pads Low warning.
4. Window washer failure.
5. Bluetooth function will not work.
6. Battery connections were damaged and when we replaced those we lost the keyfob programming.
7. Second keyfob damage so you could not reprogram keyfobs to car.
8. Car interrior has been altered and doesn't match the Topix report from Jag.
9. Clear signs in some hard to access areas that backyard work was done.
10. Car may have been water damaged some how.
